It's well below zero here in snowy Cannon Falls! I cannot believe how cold it is! Where is summer already???

Becca's pictures went about as well as I thought they would. She cried, then rolled on the floor, then covered her face, then cried some more. We did get some smiles out of her, and I will have to have my computer consultant, (my dear hubby) add them to our photo album for you all to see. The main thing I noticed is how grown up she looks. She is no longer a toddler..she's a little girl. She just has this look of being "older"....it makes a mommy get tears in her eyes....**stops typing to get a kleenex**

Well...enough of that...actually, another kleenex moment: The girls are actually starting to read, and spell! Yes...they are taking their letter magnets on the fridge, and forming words, such as cat, dog, hat, etc. If I ask becca to spell red, all I have to do is remind her how to sound out the letters, and then she takes each letter, sounds it out, and can get the r, the e, and the d...it's so amazing. I'm such a proud Mommy!! They are doing so well in this area...Becca just amazes me over and over again. She can write these words too, out of the blue she'll come to me with words written down. It's such a milestone!!

And Kimmi...not to be outdone by her older sister, took some letters, lined them up on the fridge, and got my attention, and said "look Mommy...(there were 3 letters, like r,x and l) this spells bathtub"...it was sooooo cute!!! She's not doing all too bad herself. Yesterday, she wanted a snack, and I asked her if she wanted some popcorn...she ran into the kitchen and came back with the letter "p", and said " p, for popcorn"....so I have every reason to be so proud, and excited for these girls!!

Well, I guess I better go get the car warmed up...it might take a while, given the fact that it's been almost 20 below around here....the girls and I need to run some errands :)
