These past few weeks have just been absolutely crazy!! I'm in need of some major relaxation!
As you read in my previous post, we've had VBS this past week...It went great...we had almost 40 kids..which is more than the last 2 years...we ended the week with a private pool party at our city pool...it was a lot of fun!
This week hasn't been as hectic...it's my last week doing daycare...(big sigh...) I decided not to babysit anymore, so that I could put full efforts into Homeschooling the girls. They are soooo looking forward to starting. I'm looking forward to it as well.
The latest drama/adventure in my life is that my Visa/Debit card was stolen...AND USED!!!
In a span of 8 hours, the thief made purchases at 14 different stores, with a total amount for the day being over a thousand!! I can't believe it...they totally drained my account, purchasing everything from gas, to groceries to haircut, shoes and autoparts...and of course...lunch and dinner!! I feel so violated! Thankfully, we were able to be reimbursed by the bank, while the investigation continues....grrrrr!!
Becca and Kimmi have been testing their boundaries, big time...when it comes to playing outside. We live in a townhouse..connected to 10 other townhouses...so all the front doors are on one side, and the back doors/garages are in a row behind....this is also an alley....leading to a couple other houses...so the girls are NOT allowed to play in the back...as cars come and go so frequently....and now that they are hooked on riding bikes...they absolutely are NOT allowed to ride around the building...just up front....well this has been a challenge for them recently...they've been busted a couple times back there, and it's a hard lesson for them to learn, since so many of the other kids are allowed to play back there. The've both been grounded today.....no more bikes the rest of the day. I hate doing that, but it's a real punishment for them...and hopefully it will sink in soon.
Well...that's the goings on around here....Next week is Kurt's vacation...we are still up in the air as far as our plans go...I hate waiting til the last minute...but we are uncertain where we are going :)
