The girls are doing much better. Kurt is feeling better, though still not 100%.
I can't sleep. It's almost 1am...what am I doing up??
American Idol is now down to the top 12. I was sooooo glad to see the choices tonight. I've narrowed down my favorites to 2. I won't reveal those yet... :)
I had a wonderful opportunity to have a friend take the girls and I to lunch, and another friend joined us...and I had such a nice time. It was for one, so nice to be out of the house. I think the girls agree! But, the best part for me, was that I was able to share some things with them...some of my struggles, and some of my thoughts...it was kinda healing in a way. I'm getting better at sharing the "real" me with those around me.
I receive a magazine called Above Rubies. This issue had so many good articles. I will most likely share one that really touched me here on my blog...but I'll wait until tomorrow to type that out :)
I'm going to try my hand at bean soup on Saturday. We'll see :) I will also make homemade chicken noodle, and homemade bread to go with. Yummy!!
Becca lost a tooth tonight at dinner. She was so cute...she was sitting there, when all of a sudden she started cracking up, and just looked at us, and said...oh my goodness...I just lost a tooth :) It was adorable!!
In school news....Becca is reading from chapter books every night before bed. I have such a love for reading, and it's neat to see her so interested in it too. Kimmi is about to surpass Becca in math. It just seems to "click" with her, more so than it does Becca. But when it comes to spelling/reading...Kimmi struggles more than Becca. It's so amazing to see how different they are, and how opposite their learning styles are. But nothing compares to seeing the "a-ha" moments on their faces when they have mastered a new concept!!
Okay...enough rambling.....I'm going to try and get to bed.....again!
