New year....

New Start...or so it's supposed to be anyways. Lately, all the buzz has been on New years resolutions, those that make them, and those that usually fail by early February. I never really hear about a resolution that was successful. Hmmmm.

I have some resolutions.... Do I dare share and have the "public" know about the success or failure of such resolutions... hey, why not? Here they are in random order...........

I want to lose weight. Duh. But not just to lose it...but to never find it again :) I want to be healthy...

I want to make better use of my time. There are some days that go by, and I can't think of a single thing that I really accomplished.

I want to be more intimate with my Jesus. Which means more time in prayer, and lots more time in the Word!

I want to be a role model for my girls. So they learn "healthy" habits, and learn to love Jesus like I love Him, to be proud of their accomplishments, and become Godly young women with compassion, and a desire to do His Will.

I want to blog more. Journaling used to be very important for me. It's really healing, and yet, I just don't make time for it anymore. I want to make it more of a priority...this is my life, after all...

I want to be a better steward with our finances. I've gotten a headstart on this, but feel like I have so much more to go....I want to stay consistent with our budget, so that we can be free to do whatever God calls us to do.

I want more time with my best friend. Which means being more deliberate with the time we have together, whether it be a date night, or cuddling in front of a movie, or just "being" at home in the evenings before bed, talking, sharing, loving on each other.

Quite a list, I know...but all very simple...easy to follow...with motivation, willpower, determination, God!!

Happy New Year, and blessings to you!

Someone passed this on to me, hope it encourages you,

I Am Resolved

I am resolved no longer to linger
Charmed by the world's delight.
Things that are higher
Things that are nobler
These have allured my sight.

I am resolved to go to the Savior
Leaving my sin and strife.
He is the true one
He is the just one
He hath the words of life.

I am resolved to enter the kingdom
Leaving the paths of sin.
Friends may oppose me
Foes may beset me
Still will I enter in.

I am resolved and who will go with me?
Come friends without delay.
Taught by the Bible
Led by the Spirit
We'll walk the heavenly way.

I am resolved,
Mom

I met my New Year's resolution (notice it's not plural) once. I resolved to read 4 books that weren't fiction. I actually read 5but one was so small you could hardly count it. It was a small goal, but still, I met it! Your resolutions look awesome! You go girl!
