Wonderful morning at church! The worship was awesome...and then the message, wow...Pastor Kevin talked about the fact that when we do things for God, or others for that matter, we need to do it with our whole heart...with a spirit of excellence! Like when people would bring blind animals, or crippled animals to the temple to sacrifice...where was the excellence in that?? No, we need to bring God our best..and with a heart, and motivation of excellence..nothing less!! Oh, it was good!
We went to the beach today. We met up with some friends, and spent the afternoon there....water was chilly, but not too bad...I went almost up to my neck....not quite :) The girls had a blast, and then to top it off...the ice cream man was in the parking lot on our way out... (pictures below)
Then we went to a welcome home party for a gentleman just home from Iraq! It was so neat to see his pictures, and hear the stories...Kimmi loves seeing soldiers in uniform..and when we got there, she had a special shell from the beach today, to give to the "army dude"...(her words) and he received it with such class...such grace, made her smile sooo big...thanks Nick!! Not only for bringing such a smile to my girl, but for serving our country with excellence!!
Had lifegroup tonight...good times!! Now, just hanging with the hubby...perfect end to a wonderful day!!
