Our Vacation

This past week we went up to Kurt's Grandma's house on the Lake in Wisconsin. Below are some pictures of our time there...we did some fishing, relaxing, and went to a wildlife park too! The funniest thing that happened..that I just have to share with you, was when on the boat one day, Kurt was fishing, I was laying in the sun, and the girls had brought along a couple toys to keep them occupied. Well, all of a sudden, they both start crying...and holding up their hands...I had no idea what was going on, until I see Daddy's fishing lure, (with a hook) laying next to them on the floor. How they both got stuck with the hook at the same time..I'll never know, but anyways, they both got cut, Becca on her hand, and Kimmi on her finger. Once they started to bleed..oh boy..there wouldn't be a fish for miles after hearing the shrieks that came from the girls. Becca is not fond of blood AT ALL!! So the funny thing....?? Well, Becca was going on and on about bleeding..and I'm telling ya, it was only a little droplet of blood that came out. Anyways, she still crying and carrying on, and I'm telling her over and over that she's going to be fine...and she says..."I can't bleed forever....then I'll be empty"!! I thought that was so funny...yet at the same time..it was a very valid concern for my little 5 year old...thinking she'll be empty from a little poke. So.....I had to hug on her, and love on her, and tell her she wouldn't be empty...then all was well again.

So....vacation was good. Now we have to get back in to the swing of things....
