Happy New Year

I hope you all are enjoying 2008 so far. Mine hasn't been all roses....but I think, hey...I'll get through it...always do!

My biggest news is that I received a food chopper, and a recipe book on how to "sneak" healthy foods into everyday cooking...and guess what??!! It worked!!! I pureed some carrots into pasta sauce last night, and nobody knew a thing!! MMMUUUUWWWWAAAHHHHHAAAAA!!!

Today, I'm making bread. Which I've never really been successful on before, but I have new motivation, so I'm trekking on into the unknown :) Among other things...I made ranch dressing, and today will attempt applesause!!

I have pictures coming soon....New Year's Eve we visited friends, and stayed overnight a what seemed like a pretty decent hotel....until it was bedtime! After about 2 hours of their partying, and one phone call, and one desk visit from me...they were asked to leave...they were not too happy about it at all!! I understand it was New years, but c'mon, be respectful of those around you, with little ones...in the middle of the night!!

Okay....speaking of little ones...one is calling!

We had a great time too!

Have y'all tried the veggie noodles? We buy a brand called "Wacky Mac". They are spiral noodles (sold by the regular ones). We tried them once and everyone begged me to never buy the plain kind again. It's 4 different veggie noodles all mixed together - beet, tomato, potato and spinach. Being the Italian I am, I just don't think I could put pureed carrot into my tomato sauce!
