Well...it's been a busy couple of days. Let's recap....The girls and I have been spending quite a bit of time at the park. They really enjoy that, and we are getting to know the area families a little better. Sunday after church..we went to the park in Hastings..they have a really huge slide that goes down the side of the hill, it's curvy, Becca says it's "wiggly on her butt"...and Kimmi was going down it, and just about at the end, she did a flip...her feet were up in the air...I never ran so fast in all my life...I about had a heart attack...she didn't even really cry..all she wanted was for me to put her down..like she was embarrassed by me hovering over her. I think I was more upset than she was.
For Memorial Day, Kurt had to work, and the girls and I were invited to go to St. Paul, to a big lake, to spend the day, eat there, play, then end the evening with a huge fireworks display...well, I fell in the shower. I thought I broke my toe, my butt is really bruised, and my back is killing me...I wasn't going anywhere! I'm ever so graceful :)
So.....needless to say...no big Lake for us..the girls had to settle for a local picnic. They didn't mind it at all. They loved having their lunch on a blanket outside. It was really cute. And then today...whew..I'm getting tired....we went to the beach. I'm such a bad Mommy...I fogot the camera. The girls were so adorable with their shovels and pails playing in the sand. They didn't really want too much to do with the water at first, but once they got used to it, they really had fun. We ended the day with a campfire and of course, you can't have a fire with out s'mores...plus the girls got to play on the swings, and slide, and Becca climbed all the way to the top of the monkey bars...I really don't know if my heart can take them climbing and experimenting on all this play equipment! I know, I know.... I just have to remind myself they are getting bigger, and it's all part of growing up. And....of course....each morning.....I'll look for gray hair!!
